Envato Market: what you are actually buying
License, support window, and the difference between a template and a product. Read this before the first checkout.
Envato Market is a mall, not a SaaS. You buy a file (theme, plugin, After Effects project, graphic) plus a license. You do not buy a hosted product, and you do not buy infinite support.
The Regular License covers one end product for you or one client. If you are reselling the same theme as a product of your own, that is the Extended License — or you are out of policy. Read the item’s license tab once. It is shorter than a Terms page and it is the only page that matters at chargeback time.
Support is typically six months, extendable. Authors are independent. Envato is the checkout and the dispute layer. If an item is abandoned, your refund window is the policy, not a vibe. Screenshot the live preview and the last update date before you pay.
Start from the market home, not a random Google clone site. Counterfeit “nulled” themes are how you import malware into WordPress. The hop below lands on the official catalog with tracking. Same prices, same files.
Affiliate disclosure: purchases through this hop can earn tips33 a commission from Envato. No extra cost to you.
